This book followed “Wizard of Oz”. It was pretty good and probably my favorite in the whole series! This is the book that made me read the rest. I found the romance and spice enticing and adventurous.
Better than Hooked, but not as good as Scarred or Twisted.
I liked seeing the Wicked Witch of the West as the villain in this novel, a break from McIntire’s traditional route of choosing a male villain to save the day. The gatekeep, gaslight, girlboss energy was on point and shift in perspective was entertaining.

While the storyline in this book didn’t really grab my attention, the spice definitely did.
There was one scene, however, that made me question whether I should seek help. It definitely shouldn’t have been hot, but I think I liked it…?
Definitely not my favorite in the series, but a decent read.
